That the Parliament believes that urgent action is needed to ban the use of electronic shock collars for dogs in Scotland; further believes that appropriate stakeholders should be consulted to ensure a ban that is enforceable, that prioritises the welfare of animals and promotes more humane and effective training methods, and understands that this is supported by the Kennel Club, Dogs Trust, Scottish SPCA, the British Veterinary Association, Bluecross, Battersea, the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter and the Animal Behaviour and Training Council.
