That the Parliament congratulates Rebecca Young, an S2 pupil at Kelvinside Academy, on winning a highly-coveted national competition, beating 70,000 other entrants with her innovative design for a solar-powered blanket to help the homeless; notes that Rebecca created her design as part of the UK Primary Engineer competition, where she was awarded the prestigious MacRobert Commendation Medal, decided by public vote, and understands that the 12-year-old's creation, a heated blanket integrated into a backpack and power by solar panels, was inspired by seeing people sleeping rough on the streets of Glasgow.
