That the Parliament commends Gavin Smith for three years of meticulous volunteer work at Glenarn Garden, Rhu, where he restored over 1,400 plant labels, thus safeguarding its botanical heritage; acknowledges Sue and Mike Thornley’s transformative stewardship, which earned Glenarn an "outstanding" rating from Historic Environment Scotland; recognises the indispensable role of volunteers in preserving Scotland’s historic landscapes; welcomes the garden’s continued public access and its forthcoming training initiatives, and wishes all those involved continued success in preserving this remarkable site for future generations.
