That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the importance of the work of the Scottish Raptor Study Group (SRSG) to bird of prey conservation; notes in particular the dedication of its 360 members in all parts of the country in monitoring birds of prey on a voluntary basis, in nearly 5,300 home ranges, as part of the award-winning Scottish Raptor Monitoring Scheme; further notes with concern the recent reported challenges to their right of access to land whilst monitoring schedule 1 birds under licence, for the purposes of scientific monitoring, without prior notification of some landowners, and expresses its expectation that SRSG members should continue to be able to access land for scientific purposes as previously, in light of what it regards as the importance of their work and their long history of responsible access since the group's foundation in 1980.
