That the Parliament commends Cancer Research UK Portsoy for its remarkable work since its formation in 1981, raising vital funds for cancer research through a variety of initiatives, including hosting soup and sweet events, discos, stalls at local events, and making and selling fresh donuts; recognises that, as of June 2023, Cancer Research UK Portsoy had raised an impressive £344,016 for this important cause; acknowledges the incredible dedication and selflessness of the many volunteers who have given their time and effort over the years, and the generosity of those in the community and beyond who have supported these efforts in any way; notes what it sees as the significance of World Cancer Day on 4 February 2025 in raising awareness and uniting people worldwide in tackling cancer; applauds the group’s unwavering commitment to advancing cancer research and supporting people affected by the condition; thanks everyone involved on their outstanding contributions, and wishes Cancer Research UK Portsoy continued success in its future endeavours.
