Glasgow Business Skydives for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity

  • Submitted by: Annie Wells, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 15 January 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16121

That the Parliament congratulates staff members from Graham Building North Glasgow who are set to take part in a skydive for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity; notes that the firm said that its employees will jump out of a plane in Auchterarder later in 2025 to raise money for the charity; understands that the event is part of Graham's year-long partnership with the charity and aims to help the company reach its £20,000 fundraising target, with £4,000 already raised; further understands that the money will go towards mobile sensory units for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which is Scotland's largest children's hospital, and recognises that in December 2024, the company donated £10,000 to the charity and raised a further £600 by hosting events, including a Christmas jumper day, bake sale, tombola, a "guess the sweets in the jar" competition and that staff also supported Santa’s grotto at the hospital, with six employees volunteering as elves.
