  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 14 January 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16083

That the Parliament recognises Clydebank FC Ladies for promoting girls participation in professional football; understands that the beloved Bankies football club has been hosting block training sessions for 25 girls to be coached by an all-female coaching team; further understands that the programme is a way for girls to develop their technical football skills and tactical understanding of the game, while promoting the transition from youth teams to professional clubs; celebrates local clubs offering inclusive opportunities such as this, and hopes to see more sessions available in the future.
