Recognition of Inverclyde Nurses’ Achievement as Queen’s Nurses

That the Parliament congratulates Monica Keenan, who is an advanced clinical nurse specialist at Ardgowan Hospice, and Lee-Anne Woods, who is a clinical nurse specialist supporting care-experienced children and young people at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, on being awarded the prestigious Queen’s Nurse title by the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS); acknowledges that Monica and Lee-Anne, who are from Inverclyde, joined 19 other extraordinary nurses who were celebrated at a recent ceremony in Edinburgh for completing the nine-month Queen’s Nurse Development Programme; recognises the vital work of the QNIS in supporting and developing Scotland’s nursing professionals, and celebrates what it sees as the transformative impact of nurses, such as Monica and Lee-Anne, who go above and beyond to champion care, compassion and leadership in Scotland’s healthcare system.
