  • Submitted by: Michelle Thomson, Falkirk East, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 10 January 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-16055

That the Parliament congratulates Larbert High School on achieving its status as an Apple Distinguished School; understands that this status is outlined by the tech company as a "centre of innovation, leadership and educational excellence", which utilises technology to enhance both teaching and learning; recognises that the school is only the seventh in Scotland to achieve this accolade, with a global network of 889 schools across 37 countries; notes that since 2021, it has maintained a one-to-one iPad programme via the Connected Falkirk initiative, which ensures that every pupil has access to their own device to enable high-quality learning materials, personalised feedback and help with collaboration in the classroom; applauds Larbert High on becoming the seventh Apple Distinguished School in Scotland, and thanks all of its pupils and staff for their continued hard work.
