That the Parliament congratulates Edward Archer on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to heritage and to the community in Clydesdale; understands that Mr Archer, a former teacher, serves as the chairman of the Lanark and District Archaeological Society, which encourages engagement with, and preservation of, the history of the region through lecture programmes, field walks, cataloguing artefacts, inspiring school pupils during talks and presentations, and working with like-minded organisations; commends Mr Archer on his contributions to preserving history in the Clydesdale area, and wishes him all the best in the future.
