That the Parliament applauds the efforts of farmers taking part in the Tractor Run from Thainstone to Aberdeen on 19 December 2024; understands that farmers will collect food donations at the Thainstone Auction Market before delivering them in their tractors to a Trussell Trust foodbank in Aberdeen city centre; notes that the Tractor Run was organised by the National Farmers Union Scotland North East Region to protest against the UK Labour administration’s reported inheritance tax hikes, whilst simultaneously demonstrating what it sees as the generosity and community spirit of the farmers; commends all those who will donate food or take part in the peaceful protest, and wishes them all the best for the future.
