That the Parliament congratulates the Dalziel High School Band on achieving a Gold Award for its exceptional performance; recognises the staff, music tutors and pupils for their hard work, dedication and musical talent; notes with pride that the band has been invited to the Scottish Finals at Perth Concert Hall in March 2025, which it considers is testament to its outstanding achievement and commitment to excellence; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of the Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative in supporting and encouraging young musicians across Scotland, and providing opportunities for school bands and ensembles to showcase their talents, and extends its best wishes to the Dalziel High School Band for continued success at the Scottish Finals and in all future musical endeavours.
