The War Office Children’s Christmas Appeal

That the Parliament congratulates The War Office in Motherwell on the outstanding success of its Children’s Christmas Appeal; notes that the appeal was organised to provide for children in the local community during the festive season; understands that the initiative raised an impressive amount of money and gift donations, allowing gifts to be provided to 10 families, benefiting a total of 23 children in Motherwell; further understands that any remaining monetary donations were converted into gift vouchers and distributed to local schools, and that warm jackets were also donated to Airth Court in Motherwell; recognises what it sees as the vital and generous contributions of the local community in reaching out to families who find themselves struggling financially during the current cost of living crisis, to make this initiative possible; commends The War Office for its dedication to supporting local families, and extends best wishes for the success of future community fundraisers and events.
