That the Parliament congratulates the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow on its 425th anniversary; understands that the Royal College represents the views of more than 15,000 members from across the world to provide and share best practice of patient care; believes that over the past four centuries, the Royal College has worked to develop education, deliver exams and contribute to the advancement of good health policy; highlights that one of the mottos of the Royal College is “not just to live, but to have a healthy life”; notes that the tenure of President, Mike McKirdy, who has been a long-standing and influential member of the Royal College, is coming to an end; welcomes the incoming President, the interventional cardiologist, Professor Hany Eteiba, and wishes the Royal College a successful anniversary year and delivery of services to its members and public health policy for many more years to come.
