That the Parliament recognises 3 December 2024 as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities; understands that around 1.3 billion people experience significant disability, which is equivalent to 16% of the world’s population; acknowledges the theme of this year, which is to amplify the leadership of disabled people for an inclusive and sustainable future, and commends what it sees as the amazing work that is being done in Scotland and around the globe to tackle the barriers faced by disabled people.
