That the Parliament congratulates the University of Dundee on being named the UK’s Outstanding Entrepreneurial University of the Year in the 2024 Times Higher Education Awards; understands that the judges highlighted Dundee’s longstanding entrepreneurial offer to students and staff, now reinforced by a strategy and a vision, which create an entrepreneurial culture across the whole university; further understands that this latest award follows other recognition for the University of Dundee, including being named Scottish University of the Year by the Daily Mail University Guide, as well as Innovative & Entrepreneurial University of the Year in the Triple E Awards for Europe; believes that the University of Dundee plays a key role in the city of Dundee and surrounding area, as a place to study and work; welcomes the many businesses and spin-outs that have been supported due to the university’s presence in the city, including those started by staff, students and alumni, and recognises the contribution of all staff to these collective achievements.
