That the Parliament applauds Ramon Hutchingson, coordinator of the Autism Resources Coordination Hub (ARCH) in South Lanarkshire, on being listed as a finalist at the UK-wide UNISON Local Service Champions Awards; notes that the annual awards celebrate the exceptional work of local government workers; believes that this recognition reflects Ramon’s passion, expertise and outstanding ability to support autistic people to meaningfully transform their lives, through collaboration with community drivers, allies, parents and support services, as well as building trust, and forming invaluable relationships within the community; acknowledges what it sees as the many positive changes that have been made in South Lanarkshire in the last eight years since ARCH opened; believes it to be a pillar for autistic people and their families, providing a range of vital services and signposting individuals to autism-related support both locally and nationally, while offering a safe, friendly space for all who need it; understands that ARCH has co-designed its model and services with autistic people and their families, ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and that their needs are truly listened to; commends the work of Ramon and the team at ARCH, and wishes them the best in their future endeavours.
