Hospice Fundraising Choir Brings Festive Cheer

  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 03 December 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15702

That the Parliament is enthused that the Strathcarron Singers are set to perform in Bridge of Allan as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations; understands that, under the direction of Matthew Brown, the choir will present "Carols From Near And Far", a concert created by David Brown; notes that one of the events, which will take place in Bridge of Allan Parish Church on 8 December 2024, will also feature the Clackmannan District Brass Youth and Development Band, under Luci Lamb, and the Edwin Drood Players; believes that, while there will be no charge for attendance, donations will be welcomed for Strathcarron Hospice, which is the charity that the choir has supported since its inception in 2004; congratulates everyone involved, and wishes them all the very best for their successful performances throughout the festive period.
