Congratulations to the Community of Bridge of Allan for Sunnylaw Land Purchase

That the Parliament congratulates members of the Bridge of Allan community on their successful bid to purchase the land at Sunnylaw, Bridge of Allan, to preserve its use for community purposes; believes that this purchase demonstrates the commitment and passion of local residents to protect their wonderful community and make it better, with, it understands, individual residents generously donating their own money to make this purchase a reality; understands that this has taken months of collective planning, with other interested parties agreeing to withdraw their bids for the good of the community; further understands that the land will be held in trust on behalf of residents by the local Development Trust, Discover Bridge of Allan; commends the establishment of a Sunnylaw Action Group, with residents working together to undertake the future upkeep of the meadow, ensuring that it will be preserved for generations to come, and understands that the wider community has, and will continue to, inform and influence plans for the future of Sunnylaw Meadow.
