20th Anniversary of Lanarkshire Rape Crisis

  • Submitted by: Monica Lennon, Central Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 02 December 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15681

That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC) on reaching its 20th anniversary; commends LRCC, in this milestone year, for organising a well-attended Reclaim the Night march through Hamilton town centre; understands that the event took place on 25 November 2024, on the first day of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, and believes that every action taken across Scotland in support of the 16 Days of Activism will make a positive impact in the struggle for a world free from male violence against women and girls.
