That the Parliament notes the Scottish Government's consultation on reducing the national speed limit; considers this to be a waste of taxpayers’ money; believes that it would increase driver frustration, promote risky overtaking, and harm the economy; further believes that this reflects what it sees as the Scottish Government’s tendency to ban rather than solve issues, and urges the Scottish Government to expedite works to upgrade trunk roads to dual carriageways.
