That the Parliament expresses its deep sadness at the passing of Patrick (Pat) Ross, the long-time licensee of the Tavern Bar in Motherwell; recognises what it sees as the significant contribution that Pat and his family have made to the local community since taking over The Railway Tavern on Merry Street in 1982; acknowledges the Tavern Bar’s importance as a beloved community hub, serving as a gathering place for local residents and visitors alike; commends Pat Ross for his dedication to supporting the people of Motherwell and his involvement in local life over the years; acknowledges the lasting legacy he leaves within the Motherwell community, and extends its heartfelt condolences to Pat’s family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
