That the Parliament congratulates Iryna Porfilova from Dyke, in Moray, on being named runner-up in the World Buttery Championship, which was held in Aberdeen on 21 November 2024; understands that Iryna is a Ukrainian refugee who fled the war with Russia in her home country and came to Moray where she has been learning English while living and working in the area; further understands that Iryna only started making butteries 18 months ago under the watchful eye of her employer, Chris Mair, of Bakes You Knead, based at the Forres Enterprise Park; praises Iryna’s endeavour, resourcefulness and desire to succeed, and wishes her continued success with her new career.
