Congratulating Betty Shakespeare on Retiring after 63 Years' Service at Perth's John Ferguson Work and Leisure Shop

That the Parliament congratulates Betty Shakespeare, from Perth, on her retirement from 63 years’ service at John Ferguson Work and Leisure, on South Methven Street in the town; understands that Betty has finally decided, at 90 years old, to retire from the Perth shop where she began working in 1961; notes that Betty watched owner John Ferguson grow up in his grandfather’s shop to become the boss, and worked with John’s dad, Allan, and uncles, Jack and Bill, over the years; believes that John Ferguson’s is a Perth institution; extends its very best wishes to the business, which is currently celebrating its 100th anniversary; recognises Betty’s commitment to exceptional customer service by always being eager to help people, and to go the extra mile, and extends its very best wishes to Betty on her retirement.
