Forres, Nairn and District Riding for the Disabled Association Receives The King's Awards for Voluntary Service

That the Parliament congratulates Forres, Nairn and District Riding for the Disabled Association on receiving The King's Award for Voluntary Service; notes that this award is the equivalent of being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), and is awarded to charities and organisations that recognise and champion outstanding grassroots volunteers who make a real impact within their communities; understands that the Forres, Nairn and District Riding for the Disabled Association meets weekly during term time and offers therapeutic riding sessions to 32 children from local primary and secondary schools; believes that this contributes positively to the children’s wellbeing and physical and mental health; praises the volunteers and all those involved with the Association over many years for everything that they have achieved, and wishes Forres, Nairn and District Riding for the Disabled Association continued success for the future.
