That the Parliament welcomes the news that Angus Mackay, from Symington Tinto AFC, has been awarded both the Best Volunteer in Youth Football award at the Scottish Football Association (SFA) Southwest Regional Grassroots Awards 2024 and the National Merit Award at the SFA Grassroots Awards 2024; understands that both awards recognise the contributions that volunteers make to football clubs within the southwest region and nationally, respectively; further understands that Angus has been recognised in his role as a volunteer for going above and beyond in children's, youth and schools football to ensure that young people are provided with the chance to play the game in a safe, fun and friendly environment; commends Angus for making sport safe and welcoming for young people, and for his valuable contribution to the Biggar community; congratulates Angus on his awards, and wishes him all the best as he continues to play a vital role in youth football within the Biggar area.
