That the Parliament congratulates Historic Environment Scotland (HES) on the opening of its new exhibition at Blackness Castle in the Falkirk East constituency; understands that the exhibition, which runs on selected dates from 1 November 2024 to 2 March 2025, is focused upon the intrinsic role folklore plays in life in Scotland; recognises that, throughout this exhibition, HES has utilised images from its archives to explore how folklore is rooted within the country, through its landscape, its history and its people; notes that visitors will be taken on a journey via these images through landscapes, monuments and the communities of Scotland to explore the evolving force of folklore, how it has shaped the cultural heritage and continues to shape the country of today; congratulates Historic Environment Scotland on the launch of what it sees as this important exhibition, highlighting the critical role folklore plays in the country's heritage and future, and thanks HES for the important work it does, caring for sites of cultural importance to Scotland.
