That the Parliament congratulates Paisley Radio on winning five Prestige Scotland Awards in November 2024; recognises that some of the awards that the organisation won were Prestige Scotland Radio Station of the Year, Radio Show Of the Year, for station manager Chris Lawler and his Finally Friday show, and Radio Personality of the Year for CEO Paul Wycherley; notes that Paul and Chris created Paisley Radio in March 2020, a week before the country went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and have built the station, from being produced in a living room, into a great success with around six million listeners from 180 countries; understands that the radio station is based in the centre of Paisley, and further understands that the organisation prides itself on giving young enthusiasts, who are interested in a career in the sector, an opportunity to learn from experienced staff, which includes 30 presenters that are based all over the world.
