Celebrating the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2024

That the Parliament celebrates the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2024; notes that the annual ceremony, which celebrates businesses that are having a positive social and environmental impact in urban and rural communities across Scotland, including across Glasgow, where many of the 2024 winners operate, took place in the Scottish Parliament on 7 November; sends congratulations to all of the nominees and the winners; notes that these include Eco Drama, which won the Environmental category, Community Renewal Trust Rom Romeha, which was presented with the Building Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Justice award, the Courtyard Pantry Enterprise, which was named as the One to Watch, Simon Community Scotland, which won the Health and Social Care category, and School for Social Entrepreneurs, which was the winner of the Buy Social Market Builder award; applauds Nicola Pollock, from MorphFit Gentle Movement Project, for being named Social Enterprise Employee Champion, and Dalvina Kerr, from Edinburgh Community Yoga, for winning Social Enterprise Volunteer Champion; congratulates Showcase the Street on being awarded the Tech for Good honour, Media Co-op on being awarded the new Inclusive Democratic Business Model award and the Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust on being named as the Social Enterprise of the Year; considers that these awards recognise what it is to be a vital contributor to a community; believes that social enterprises build community wealth, fairness and prosperity for all and a strong, resilient wellbeing economy, and commends Social Enterprise Scotland on a successful awards ceremony that brought social entrepreneurs together with their constituency and regional MSPs.
