  • Submitted by: Annie Wells, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 12 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15417

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow jewellers, Chisholm Hunter, on presenting a cheque for £10,000 to Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus (SBH) Scotland; understands that Chisholm Hunter gave the cheque to the charity that supports people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus at its store on Buchanan Street; notes that the donation came after staff members raised £5,000 by taking part in SBH Scotland's Zipslide the Clyde event in September 2024; understands that Harry Brown, chairman of Chisholm Hunter, then matched the amount raised by the staff team, bringing the total to £10,000; recognises that the money will be used to provide personalised support to thousands of children, young people and adults across Scotland affected by the complex conditions of spina bifida and hydrocephalus, and understands that the jewellers has supported SBH Scotland for over 30 years.
