Kirkcaldy's Sarah Thomson Named Scotland’s Businesswoman of the Year at the 2024 Association of Scottish Business Women Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy’s Sarah Thomson on being named Scotland’s Businesswoman of the Year at the 2024 Association of Scottish Business Women Awards; understands that the event showcases and celebrates the many achievements of women working across all sectors in Scotland and that the award shines a spotlight on the great number of successful and inspiring women within the business community; notes that Sarah’s water sports business, Och Aye Canoe, offers kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding experiences and first aid training, and that it aims to make learning water sports fun and accessible for all; believes that this award is the latest in a long line of successes, including winning a Fife Business Award and being shortlisted as a finalist for Kingdom FM’s Local Hero Awards, and congratulates Sarah on breaking down barriers for people in Fife looking to get into sport and the dedication that she has shown in building a successful and inclusive business.
