  • Submitted by: Fulton MacGregor, Coatbridge and Chryston, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 08 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15342

That the Parliament congratulates the North Lanarkshire-based organisation, Parent Action for Safe Play, on being awarded £16,226 by the National Lottery Community Fund to support its two-year project of the delivery of two weekly support groups for five- to 12-year-olds with additional support needs; believes that this will be a vital source of financial support to the project; notes that this organisation carries out vital work to support the children, including hosting a wide variety of fun and stimulating activities such as music, gardening, cooking and outdoor play opportunities; appreciates that these activities allow the children to express themselves through imagination and creativity, affording them opportunities to socialise with others and create friendships; believes that this grant will be critical to ensuring that more children will be able to enjoy this service, and considers that it will build on the strong work that has already been carried out by the Parent Action for Sate Play.
