  • Submitted by: Fulton MacGregor, Coatbridge and Chryston, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 08 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15341

That the Parliament welcomes the National Lottery Community Fund award for the Manorview Foundation based in Coatbridge; believes that this vital grant of £10,000 will be of critical importance to allow the organisation to undertake its core aims, which include supporting the delivery of a varied activity programme for people impacted by poverty, addiction and trauma; notes that it offers a wide range of support, including offering hot cooked meals and a safe and friendly place for people to connect with each other in a way that is cohesive and reduces the stigma attached to living in poverty or facing addiction issues; believes that the Foundation has already carried out vital work, including supporting people impacted by homelessness and children living in poverty, and further believes that the grant will ensure that the organisation has the vital financial tools and resources in place to continue such vital work in Coatbridge and neighbouring communities.
