That the Parliament congratulates Millersneuk Primary School, in Lenzie, on attaining the Gold School Sport Award by sportscotland; recognises the encouragement and support of head teacher Mr Greg Caldow and the senior management team in fostering an ethos of wellbeing in the school; commends in particular the establishment of a drop-off service by walking children to various locations in the community after extra-curricular activities, removing barriers to participation through logistical challenges for carers and parents; applauds the commitment of the school community to ensure that staff and pupils work together to improve fitness, health and wellbeing in a way that is fun to enable maximum participation and lasting outcomes; delights at the design of a sports mascot by the Sports Committee, a dog named Millie, who featured in a cartoon strip for its sportscotland application; sends its grateful thanks to the team at sportscotland for its enthusiasm and support, and wishes everyone at Millersneuk Primary School continued enjoyment of sport and lasting impact of this award.
