That the Parliament congratulates Eddie Gillanders, of Drumoak, Aberdeenshire, on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Agriculture Awards; notes that these awards are jointly organised by the Scottish Farmer, Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, and AgriScot; recognises Eddie’s exceptional career spanning over six decades as a journalist dedicated to Scottish agriculture, during which he contributed to numerous publications and founded his own farming magazine, Agri-Business Scotland, in 1984; acknowledges that he sold the magazine five years later and went on to work with Aberdeen and Northern Marts until his retirement in 2003, at the age of 60; commends Eddie for continuing to contribute to agricultural journalism post-retirement, and applauds his immense contribution to the agricultural community and journalism in Scotland.
