That the Parliament congratulates Lily Barnett from Laurencekirk for her tireless support for the many charity coffee mornings and community events held in the town: understands that Lily, who is 92, gets up at 5.00 am to bake for these treasured community events; believes that she is known locally for her girdle scone; recognises that Lily also cooks and serves at the town’s weekly lunch club, as well as being an active member of the Laurencekirk Senior Citizens group and a regular tea dance attendee, and wishes Lily many more years of baking.
