Visit West End Business Improvement District Wins at the 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards

That the Parliament congratulates the Visit West End Business Improvement District on being granted the High Street Hero for Glasgow award in the 2024 Scotland Loves Local Awards; understands that the Scotland Loves Local Awards are organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership in contribution to its efforts to support the nation’s towns and places and promote the positive outcomes that shopping local has on communities; recognises the Visit West End Business Improvement District’s continuous efforts to enhance the attraction to the west end of Glasgow through its support for initiatives, including the Byres Road Book Festival and the area’s beloved Christmas lights; welcomes proposals by the organisation to further improve the area, and understands that Visit West End has signed the Scotland Loves Local Pledge, encouraging members, and the local community, to prioritise spending with local businesses.
