That the Parliament celebrates the achievements of Kyle Newman and Robbie Johnston, from Turnbull & Scott Ltd, and Elliot Brown, from Simpsons Malt Ltd, in recently completing their engineering modern apprenticeships, which they achieved through Borders Technical Training Association; recognises that Borders Technical Training Association offers modern apprenticeship qualifications to nationally recognised standards; applauds apprenticeships like these, which, it considers, are vital for employers looking to maintain a competitive edge and drive future growth, and understands that market research by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) found that over 80% of companies who employ apprentices believe that they make the workplace more productive, and that 88% of employers feel that they lead to a more motivated and satisfied workforce.
