That the Parliament welcomes Wester Hailes Community Trust’s new Active Travel Hub, which has been established following funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the hub is a 40ft container that was renovated by local group, Wester Hailes Growing Communities, and Growing Together, transforming it into a welcoming space for the community to gather; notes that, through a collaboration with Cargo Bike Movement and Edinburgh Tool Library, the hub offers free bike hires, tool hire availability, community information and more; further notes Scottish artist Natasha Russell’s wonderful mural, and highlights what it sees as the broader benefits that this travel hub brings to the local residents of Wester Hailes.
