Cadet Lance Corporal Isabella Turner Wins Youth Award

That the Parliament congratulates Elgin Academy student, Cadet Lance Corporal Isabella Turner, from the 1st Battalion the Highlanders, North East Scotland, on receiving the British Citizen Youth Award; understands that Isabella was nominated for the award for her help supporting children from armed forces families; notes that the awards honour those 18 years of age or younger who are doing extraordinary work in the community; commends Isabella for her selfless work in encouraging other young people to feel part of a community, join clubs and youth organisations, such as the army cadets, and for playing a key role along with others in the Your Mind Matters Hub; understands that Isabella co-created Scotland’s Tornado of Change Project, which offers free support and advice to young people who find themselves struggling with everyday issues, and commends Isabella for her what it sees as her outstanding work and this richly deserved award.
