That the Parliament congratulates Gordon and June Whiteford of Lower Mill of Tynet Farm, in Moray, on winning the Sustainable Farm of the Year category at the Scottish Farming Awards, which were held in Glasgow; welcomes the focus on high welfare in the traditional mixed farm’s free-range hen enterprise, which produces award-winning brown and white and organic eggs that are packed on the farm; understands that animal welfare and a focus on the environment are at the heart of the farm business; welcomes the continued development of the farm’s 24-hour vending shop, selling milk, meat and ice cream, which are all produced from the farm’s livestock, as well as a variety of local and seasonal produce, and believes that the prestigious award is fitting recognition for Gordon, June and their family, and everyone involved in the farm’s success.
