That the Parliament congratulates the winners from the Mid Scotland and Fife region in the Business Category at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2024 recently; understands that Old Leckie Farm, in Gargunnock, Stirling, won the award for Primary Producer of the Year, and that the farm is a small 300-acre family farm caring sustainably for its animals and environment and growing fresh, local produce, including free range eggs, grass-fed meat and homegrown vegetables, and offers farm tours and accommodation; notes that Ballintaggart Farm, based in Pitlochry, Perthshire, won the Regional Food and Drink Award and that the business offers a restaurant, hotel accommodation, private catering services and cook school courses in the region; understands that Eilidh Wynd, from Simon Howie Foods, with butcher shops located across Perthshire, won the Young Talent Award; commends all the hard work and commitment to offering what it sees as the very best of what the Mid Scotland and Fife region produces, from the high-quality food and drink to the very best in hospitality and visitor experiences; acknowledges the role that the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards play in highlighting, supporting and showcasing Scotland’s food, drink and hospitality industries, and extends its very best wishes to all the businesses named for continued success and growth in the future.
