  • Submitted by: Claire Baker, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 22 October 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14990

That the Parliament congratulates Methil-based business, Nakey Bakey, on winning the Free From category title for its mixed berry granola at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2024 recently; is incredibly proud that the company was the only Fife region award winner this year, and recognises what it sees as this significant achievement against such tough competition; acknowledges that the award highlights Nakey Bakey’s commitment to creating high-quality, innovative products that reflect Scotland’s rich food heritage; appreciates the contribution of Business Gateway in Fife in its support for the business; believes that the Scotland Food and Drink Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local businesses and the people and products that, it believes, make Scotland’s local food and drink the pinnacle of its industries; considers that Nakey Bakey is a great example of this, and extends its very best wishes to Nakey Bakey for continued growth and success in the future.
