Glasgow Restaurant Reaches Finals for Big Award

That the Parliament congratulates Salt & Chilli Oriental, in Shawlands, on making the finals of the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards 2024; notes that the top eatery, which was previously named the Best Chinese in Scotland at the Deliveroo Awards, is owned by celebrity chef Jimmy Lee; understands that over 130 restaurants entered for the Uber Eats Restaurant award, with only 12 making it through to the grand finale in November; further understands that the finalists will have to create their hero dish for the panel of expert judges, with the overall winner being awarded £100,000 to invest in their business, and understands that Jimmy is a well-known chef, with over 55,000 followers on Instagram, and that he is known for regularly delighting viewers with quick-fire videos of him whipping-up favourite Chinese dishes, including salt and chilli chicken made in 60 seconds.
