St Bride’s Primary School and Nursery Class Wear it Pink

  • Submitted by: Clare Haughey, Rutherglen, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 15 October 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14905

That the Parliament commends St Bride’s Primary School and Nursery Class in Cambuslang for their participation in the 2024 Breast Cancer Now Wear it Pink campaign to support ongoing awareness, support and research of breast cancer; praises the efforts of the P7 pupils who organised the fundraising activities, which included a raffle and a non-uniform day, which saw their usual blue uniform transformed into a sea of striking pink outfits; notes that the school’s support for the campaign is a regular feature on its fundraising calendar, and that, this year, it raised over £643, and commends the whole school community for its generosity and commitment to raising awareness of this important cause.
