Opening of Scotland’s First Island Bike Park on Arran

That the Parliament congratulates Arran High School Mountain Bike Club on the official opening of Dyemill Park, Scotland’s first island bike park; notes that the project received £220,625 from the Scottish Government’s Islands Programme, £10,000 from North Ayrshire Ventures Trust, and £20,000 from North Ayrshire Council’s place-based investment programme; acknowledges the efforts of the Mountain Bike Club and its dedication and hard work in bringing this project to fruition; recognises the park’s aim to encourage cycling and skill development for riders of all levels by encouraging a range of cycling activities, and wishes the residents of, and visitors to, Arran many years of enjoyment and fitness at their new accessible and safe all-weather facility.
