Marchmont Care Home amongst the Best in Scotland

That the Parliament congratulates Marchmont Care Home, in Port Glasgow, on being named one of the top 20 care homes in Scotland in the Care Home Awards 2024; recognises the exceptional efforts of manager Jan McPhee, deputy Jennifer Marshall, and the entire team, whose dedication has, it understands, led to consistently high reviews and five-star ratings on carehome.co.uk; acknowledges what it sees as the warm and homely atmosphere created at Marchmont, where residents feel welcome and engaged through various activities, including interactions with local schoolchildren, singing, bingo and karaoke; notes the team's efforts to maintain a strong community connection by welcoming volunteers and school groups; commends what it sees as the team’s resilience in rebuilding after the COVID-19 pandemic and fostering a strong team spirit, and wishes it continued success in providing outstanding care for its residents.
