Congratulations to the Port of Aberdeen

That the Parliament congratulates the Port of Aberdeen on being announced as a finalist in the VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards; notes that the awards, which are being held at Radisson Blu in Glasgow on 12 November 2024, recognise businesses in Scotland that are taking significant steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment, in order to recognise and showcase best practice, encourage the efficient use of resources, enhance the competitiveness of businesses, improve environmental performance, and support wider goals of sustainable development; understands that the Port of Aberdeen has been nominated in the Energy Transition Scotland category; believes that this nomination recognises the hard work and effort that the Port of Aberdeen has taken and continues to take to fulfil its commitment to becoming the UK’s first net zero port by 2040, and wishes the CEO, Bob Sanguinetti, and the rest of the team at the Port of Aberdeen the best of luck at the awards ceremony.
