Linda Low Inducted into the Orkney Hall of Sport Fame

That the Parliament congratulates Linda Low on being inducted into the Orkney Hall of Sport Fame, having won 10 medals at the Island Games; commends her work in leading the Women in High Sport Performance pathway and the Olympic Solidarity funded initiative, which aims to increase the number of women in coaching for international events, such as the Olympics and World Athletics Championships; notes what it sees as the importance of Linda’s work in fostering progress in removing barriers to women's representation at international sporting level; believes that her achievements in shining a light on the quality of sporting education in Orkney are of great importance, and acknowledges, and celebrates what it considers is Linda’s exceptional contribution to sport in Orkney and her work globally to improve sporting access for women.
