1st Neilston Boys' Brigade Company Reaches 70th Anniversary

That the Parliament understands that the 1st Neilston Boys' Brigade Company is celebrating its 70th year in 2024; further understands that the company is holding a special dedication service and lunch on 13 October to mark the remarkable milestone; notes that the Boys' Brigade in Neilston became a reformed company in 1954, after the original company failed to continue after the outbreak of the First World War; recognises that, today, the company strives to offer young people a place where they can feel safe and the opportunity to explore their own community whilst having fun; further recognises that it is a thriving company, with 20 anchors, 28 juniors, eight company section boys and 10 leaders; congratulates the company on being part of the Neilston community for the last 70 years, and wishes it the very best in continuing to be part of the community in the future.
